NATURAL COLOUR ATLAS
NATURAL COLOUR ATLAS
Colour Atlas is a space for sharing our personal and collective journeys with natural colour. It started as a a collaboration between West Yorkshire (UK) and West Java (Indonesia), and it grows from our shared curiosity as natural dye enthusiasts. Each of us practices in different manners, shaped by our landscapes, our plants, our cultural traditions, and our surrounding (unspoken rules!). So the colours we create carry stories: of places, of materials and of the people who work with them.
With Colour Atlas, we want to create a place where these stories can meet and (hopefully) continue. We invite people to explore the bio‑regional colours around them, document their process, and share what these colours mean in their cultural context
Colour Atlas is not a finished thing, it's an open platform for all of us!
